cinema whore
You wanna guess some movies? You wanna? Is that what you want? Yeah?

You have my fullest permission to use google, but no looking at the source code :) Anyone gets 'em all, I've got a box of chocolates with your name on it. Brie if it's Anna.

You guess some movies.

Beckamiss_rynn on September 27th, 2005 09:22 am (UTC)
So hard and arthouse! I only picked 4 - Preaching to the Perverted.
Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:29 am (UTC)
And you're the only one so far who has :) You dirty lass.
Kenshemjaza on September 27th, 2005 10:39 am (UTC)
3. A mighty wind? (I’ve never seen it).

4. Um... Wow! I’d like to know what this is. Is it by Peter Greenaway?

5. The Omen 2?

7. Last Life in the Universe? Nah, probably not.

10. City of Lost Children

12. 3 Iron

13. Ravenous
Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:33 am (UTC)
3. Close, it's by the same bunch of people.

4. It's a bit of a goth/underground classic :) Soon recieving a release to be promoted in the very famous Fiend Magazine :) Bit of a red herring picture, that one.

5. I haven't seen any of the Omen movies :) It's more of a comedy.

7. Same lead actor (makes the kissy face) Thea got it :)

10. Ping!

12. Ping!

13. Ping, baby. Ping.
Kenshemjaza on September 29th, 2005 12:44 pm (UTC)
I'm shocked at myself for not recognising "Preaching to the Perverted"... I knew it looked familiar.
goratrixgoratrixx on September 29th, 2005 10:58 am (UTC)
Is it by Peter Greenaway?

Damn we think too much alike (I said Prospero's Books) - but we both loved that film!!
Outlier Manlukeii on September 27th, 2005 11:07 am (UTC)
Yeah, everyone loves an EASY quiz like this one!

So umm

12. 3-Iron

Yeah, that's all I got.
Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:49 am (UTC)
hey, I said you could google to your heart's content! The IMDB awaits!

12. Yes :)
Andrewdelwyn on September 27th, 2005 11:18 am (UTC)
I hate you :)

oh, and number 8 is The Specials ;)
Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:34 am (UTC)
I'm pretty sure you've seen at least one other of these movies :) There are a couple of Film Festival highlights in there :)
subrime: captainsubrime on September 27th, 2005 12:43 pm (UTC)
number 12...
Nicole: snailmatcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:34 am (UTC)
Re: number 12...
yup. What a movie. What a movie indeed.
Gadgegadge on September 27th, 2005 01:52 pm (UTC)
2. Coffee and Cigarettes.
3. Waiting for Guffmann.
5. Harold and Maude. Which I still have on loan from a video shop from three years ago. I'm a video store's worst nightmare, especially as I haven't even watched it - I moved, and don't know where it is.
6 and 7 look vaguely familiar, in terms of lead actor at least.
8. The Specials.
9. Hal Hartley. Trust or The Unbelievable Truth.
10. That Cronenberg version of that William S Burroughs book?
13. Ravenous.
14. Hah! Cheerleading movie no-one would have seen except for me. Sugar and Spice.

That's all without google, as I'm sure you'll figure. :)
Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:38 am (UTC)
2. So close! So very close indeed!
3. Yup!
5. Yup!
6. Rupert Everett, if that helps.
7. My boyfriend (Tadanobu Asano) if that helps.
8. Yup!
9. Yup! Trust.
10. Way south :) It's a french movie.
13. Yup!
14. Pregnant Betty dolls are taking over the world!!!

You're currently in the lead on 6 yup's :)
goratrixgoratrixx on September 27th, 2005 11:37 pm (UTC)
Dang you, you make me feel film un-nerdy! There are some tricky ones in there. This is the best I can do: (4.) Prospero's Books (5.) Harold and Maude (6.) Bella Morre/Bella Morte (something Italian anyway!) (7.) Woman of Water, and (12.) 5-Iron (but no chocolates!!)
Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:43 am (UTC)
4. Think kinkier :)
5. Yes! I just saw this last week and it's one of the warmest fuzziest hand-choppingest-off movies I've seen :)
6. Eh... close enough :) Dellamorte Dellamore. Only one other person has picked it so far (my brother Peter) and we watched it together, so double kudos.
7. Pow! You're the only person who's got this one, and it was one of my really curly ones :)
12. Close enough - 3-iron... you can't be blamed for your golf game :)

Equal second (with Ken and Peter) so far...
Shanedaern on September 27th, 2005 11:40 pm (UTC)
Oh my. I couldn't guess a single one of those. And then when I gave up and checked answers only one would I have known: Harold and Maude, which was a favourite as a child. But it's been twenty years since I saw it, so I didn't get it. City of Lost Children I didn't pay enough attention to when I watched it to get that snippet.
Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 02:46 am (UTC)
Get these movies on your list of things to see :) Particularly La Grande Bouffe, which is a highly entertaining and thoroughly disturbing movie. No, actually, all of them are great :)

c'mon, you can do better than that! Google and the internet are at your fingertips. There are even a few clues in my journal, since a couple of these are Film Festival films, of which I know you've seen one.
Outlier Manlukeii on September 28th, 2005 02:58 am (UTC)
Google it!
You mean like Roberto Benigni + Orleans Parish which helps me find out that
2 = Down By Law

Nicolematcha_pocky on September 28th, 2005 03:22 am (UTC)
